snow day!

we got a huge snow storm here in the portland area that lasted for several days. the most snow they've had in 30 years! i think at our house we got about a foot or so. it was fun. they don't plow the roads, except the highways and city streets, and the plows have rubber bits so the roads are really bumpy. the whole city shut down for about 3 days! it was really fun. well, dan and i had fun because we're used to snow storms like that, but a lot of portlanders were really nervous. it was also very icy. when they say there will be frozen rain, they really mean it!! it was kind of a trip seeing rain coming down that was frozen. it sounds like hail when it lands, but it's rain!!
